The WCS Upper School Scholars Bowl Team won their fifth straight 3A State Tournament Saturday.
Sarah Chocron, Conner Schupbach, Harun Raffi, Tyler MacKenzie, Sabaa Ahmed, and Allison Tee posted a perfect 9-0 record in the tournament under the direction of Coach Peter DeVries.
After defeating Council Grove 100-15 in the semi-final round, the team advanced to the championship match and defeated Perry-LeCompton 90-20.
"They've worked really hard under challenging conditions," DeVries said. That hard work certainly paid off!
